Αυτή η πλατφόρμα είναι μέρος των ερευνητικών έργων που πραγματοποιεί το Τμήμα Εκπαίδευσης και Αγωγής στην Προσχολική Ηλικία του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Εκφράζει το ενδιαφέρον του τμήματος για την ανάπτυξη της έρευνας στις επιστήμες της εκπαίδευσης και της αγωγής ειδικότερα στις τέχνες.

Αυτή είναι μία πλατφόρμα ανταλλαγής ιδεών για καλλιτεχνικές δραστηριότητες για μικρά παιδιά. Σκοπός της είναι η δημιουργία μίας κοινότητας χρηστών που ενδιαφέρονται για την καλλιτεχνική παιδεία και οι οποίοι θα έχουν ένα διαδικτυακό χώρο συνάντησης, ενημέρωσης και επικοινωνίας.

Η αναγκαιότητα αυτού του τόπου συνάντησης απορρέει από την έλλειψη επαφής και ενημέρωσης μίας πραγματικά μεγάλης μερίδας ανθρώπων οι οποίοι χρησιμοποιούν εικαστικές και μουσικές δραστηριότητες είτε στο σχολείο είτε σε οποιοδήποτε άλλο εκπαιδευτικό περιβάλλον. Εκπαιδευτικοί, νηπιαγωγοί και καλλιτέχνες εργάζονται σε μεγάλο βαθμό απομονωμένοι ο κάθε ένας στο σχολικό τους περιβάλλον. Συχνά αναζητούν νέους τρόπους εμπλοκής των μαθητών τους με τις τέχνες ή γενικότερα ενημέρωση για πλέον πρόσφατες παιδαγωγικές προσεγγίσεις, προτάσεις, ιδέες κλπ. Αυτή η πλατφόρμα φιλοδοξεί να ανταποκριθεί με ένα πιο κεντρικό και παιδαγωγικά ενημερωμένο και υπεύθυνο τρόπο σε αυτήν την ανάγκη.

The main objective of the Joint MA Programme “Education and Human Rights” of the Department of Early Childhood Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UOA) and the University College London Institute of Education (UCL IOE) is the development of theory, research and practice in Education and Human Rights. It consists of:

the Joint MA Program “Education and Human Rights” which awards a Joint degree by both Universities (UOA and UCL)
the Joint MA Program “Education and Human Rights” which awards a Separate degree by the University of Athens with reference to the UCL IOE

The Programme aims at developing specialists and professionals involved in research, teaching and the formulation of educational policies with emphasis on combatting social inequalities and the consolidation of human rights in education.

The African Biofuel and Renewable Energy Company ABREC works to promote renewable energy and energy efficient technologies in Africa. Although Africa has rich resources of clean energy in the form of solar, wind, biomass and hydro power turning this technical potential into a practical capacity requires a number of conditions. Among others it depends on bringing together human skills, expertise, financial resources as well as helping to bring about change in the institutional and policy setting levels to enable change and transformation towards a clean energy system. The African Biofuel and Renewable Energy Company works to drive uptake of clean energy and energy efficient technologies to improve the livelihoods of African people, to help mitigate climate change and help ensure energy security in Africa.

Transitioning from fossil fuel based systems to clean energy is essential if efforts to slow down global warming are to succeed. The adaptation of energy systems in time to avoid temperature rise above two degrees, the minimum increase to avert the worst impacts of climate change presents a formidable challenge. Transitioning to clean energy is all the more demanding because energy needs are foreseen to expand considerably in Africa over the coming decades with new investment of about two thirds of existing capacity needed to keep pace with Africa’s growth. Yet there are ample opportunities for international funding for climate friendly energy systems more so today than ever in the past.

ABREC has been promoting the development of clean energy in Africa since 2009. Its role has been to facilitate entry of the financial actors that bring new climate-mitigation investments. This experience places ABREC in an excellent position to help African countries to manage the challenging transition to a low-carbon energy economy.

Η Σχολή Χιλλ έχει διανύσει μια μακρά και σημαντική διαδρομή μέσα στο χρόνο.

Τα 180 χρόνια συνεχούς δραστηριότητας της άφησαν ίχνη, υλικά κατάλοιπα που διασώθηκαν χάρη στη φροντίδα των ιδρυτών και μετέπειτα των ιδιοκτητών της Σχολής.

Η ταξινόμηση και ψηφιοποίηση τμημάτων του αρχείου της Σχολής αποσκοπεί στην αξιοποίησή του προς όφελος του ευρύτερου κοινού και της επιστημονικής κοινότητας. Μέσω του ψηφιοποιημένου αρχείου αναπαράγεται και διασώζεται ένας σημαντικός αριθμός τεκμηρίων.

Katsourbos / Cretan Cuisine

“Katsourbos” is named after the homonymous comedy by George Hortatsis that was written during the Italian Renaissance in the island of Crete.

Katsourbos Cuisine was established in January 2005.

It has been described as the “Renaissance of Cretan Cuisine” by the Athenian press, since it introduced the original Cretan gastronomy in Athens.

All products used in Katsourbos Cuisine (which is included in the “European choice”of the International Gastronomical Catalogue Zagat and Monocle Magazine) are delivered once per week from individual production units at the island of Crete.

All meat used is fresh and in the preparation of our dishes we only use biological extra virgin olive oil from “Lefkohori Monofatsiou”. (Heraklion Crete)

Katsourbos all pasta and bread (traditional eftazymo) are handmade.

Athina Kazolea was born in Athens, Greece.
Many of the projects that she worked on have taken her to a vast number of destinations, including Ethiopia, Palestine, Turkey, Tibet, Cuba, Yemen, Israel, Morocco and India. In 2000, she joined Doctors Without Borders as a photojournalist in missions in Palestine and Tibet. She has also worked with the Greek organizational branch of UNHCR, photographing Iraqi refugees in Damascus, Syria.

During 2005-2006 she worked as a photo editor for Passport magazine, included as a special travel publication of Greek newspaper Kathimerini.

Since 1990, a large number of her work has gotten published in some of the most noteworthy and popular Greek newspapers and magazines (Passport, Kathimerini’s “K”, Marie Claire, Cinema, Difono, Metro, Ena, Ta Nea, Tahidromos etc).

She has collaborated with major music publishers Minos EMI, Universal, Lyra and worked as a movie set photographer for films and television shows.
Also she has participated in a great number of group exhibitions.
Her works belong to private collections and some are also part of the collection of the Museum of Photography, Thessaloniki.

Until the 1980’s the education of preschool and primary school teachers took place in teacher-training institutes of two-year long programs, the so-called Schools of Preschool Teachers and Pedagogic Academies respectively. However, in 1982 four-year higher education programs were established with the aim of a scientifically-based training of teachers. Greece was, in fact, one of the first countries in Europe to undertake such a reform of teacher training, moreover at a time of an in-depth curriculum reconstruction of its primary and secondary education.

The structure and function of education faculties in higher education in Greece were delineated by Law 1268/82 (article 1, paragraph 2) and the Presidential Decree 320/83 (article 2). The earliest Faculties of Education were established at the Universities of Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Ioannina and Crete in the academic year 1984-1985 and were subsequently expanded. More particularly, the Faculty of Education for Preschool Teachers was established at the University of Athens in the academic year 1987-1988 bearing its first graduates in 1991. In 1997 it was, however, renamed Faculty of Early Childhood Education (FECE). While traditionally connected with preschool education, it is now oriented to early school education as well, as the second year of kindergarten has recently become compulsory for all children in Greece and thus an early school phase.
